Minneapolis and Minnesota offer it all - culture, innovation and endless exploration. At the heart of this metropolis is Emery, Minneapolis' newest hotel to open downtown on April 3, 2019, following a full transformation and rebrand from Hotel Minneapolis. The 10-story, 229-room property, part of Marriott's exquisite Autograph Collection of boutique hotels, offers stunning views of the downtown skyline and a central location nearby city attractions such as the U.S. Bank Stadium and Target Field.
The design, led by Studio Mai, is a contemporary mix of custom finishes, high-end amenities and creature comforts. The property will feature a state of the art fitness center with Peloton Bikes, Spyglass Coffee Lobby Bar as well as a curated local minibar, bringing Minneapolis into each guest room.Managed by Pivot Hotels & Resorts, the luxury lifestyle divi sion of Davidson Hotels & Resorts, Emery will embody the North's generous hospitality and be a vibrant hub for locals and guests alike.
Emery's opening also welcomes a brand-new restaurant, Giulia, featuring Northern-Italian inspired cuisine by local chef, Steven Brown. The first-ever downtown location for Spyhouse Coffee is located off of the lobby and offers the classic coffee and espresso menus the beloved Twin Cities roaster is known for, with the additions of a custom signature blend, seasonal and specialty drinks, and affogato — house made gelato topped with hot espresso.
Guest rooms are elegantly appointed and infused with local artworks by artists such as Shana Kaplov and Edie Overtuf, known for their styles of juxtaposition that is rich with cultural themes. Thoughtfully curated minibars with local products provide a taste of Minneapolis. Guests can also take advantage of a renovated fitness center with Peloton bikes.
The building's history as the famed Midland Bank in the 1930's through 1950's and other local businesses, lays the foundation for this iconic part of the Minneapolis skyline. Emery's transformed design embraces the spirit and nostalgia of the past through art deco touches and marble architecture, balanced with fresh energy and the collaborative culture that the city embodies today. The design, led by Studio Mai, is dually inspired with a contemporary mix of custom finis hes, high-end amenities and creature comforts.
Offering up 4,500 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, the hotel is inclusive of seven meeting rooms, one private dining room, and the lobby area for a social/flexible space. All seven meeting spaces are named after iconic Minneapolis neighborhoods that inspire and continue to cultivate the city, including Kenwood, Sheriden and the popular North Loop.
Emery's lobby creates various pockets for guests to take advantage of a fluid and dynamic space they can interact with in different ways. The central "hall" or lobby, defined by rigid linear marble columns, is reminiscent of an indoor/outdoor garden to be enjoyed 365 days a year. The property will also include a redesigned fitness facility with Peloton bikes and local artwork in guest rooms throughout the property by artists such as Shana Kaplov and Edie Overtuf.
Curated minibars with locally produced products for all guests to explore a taste of Minneapolis will include such items as Crooked Water Spirits, Assorted Finnegans Beers, So Good So You Probiotic Shots, Funky Chunky Peanut Butter Popcorn, and more.
