Lakeville Liquors 1st Annual Spirits Tasting – CWS Wins!

We had an outstanding experience in Lakeville via their Lakeville Liquors 1st Annual Spirits Tasting event and was amazing to see such a solid turnout of spirit connoisseurs and MN distilleries. I consistently asked people how the experience was going and they could not have been more pleased – there wasn’t a disappointed person in the house. They were overwhelmed by the talent in the room and the Signature Cocktails they sampled provided by each distillery. Way to go MN! Crooked Water was honored to find out we won the Signature Cocktail of the evening with our Manley’s Old Fashioned and our Le Mule! Say WHA?! This included a sweet plaque that’s already on my office wall and some significant support and love by Lakeville Liquors over the next few months. Recipes from the evening:

Manley's Old Fashioned

We launched this ready-to-pour elevated 75 proof bourbon Old Fashioned in November 2017 to incredible support and continued love. We are grateful!

Ingredients: Crooked Water Straight Single Barrel, never blended, Bourbon, Angostura, Premium Bitters and Demarara.

Instructions: Pour Manley’s over ice ball or rocks in a low ball glass, garnish with fresh orange peel, expressing peel over drink. Focus on the moment, not making cocktails.

Le Mule

½ oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice

2 oz L’eau Grand Vodka (Try substituting with Sundog Gin for a botanical flair)

3 dash Bittercube Jamaican #1 Bitters

4 oz Fever Tree Ginger Beer

Instruction: In a Collins glass with ice, combine all and garnish with lime.
